She is survived by four sons, Lawrence Fields, Ellis Fields Sr., Lester Fields and Francis Fields Sr.; one daughter, Yvonne Hale; 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adrien Fields; parents, Emile and Clara Guillot Roger; two sons, Thomas and Andrew Fields; one daughter, Clara Fields; two brothers, Emile Jr. and Adam Roger; and three sisters, Lelia Roger Fields, Cecile Roger Landry and Marie Roger.

She is survived by one son, Charles Darcey of Gray; two daughters, Adelaide Fonseca of Houma and Betty Musemeche of Gray; one sister, Bessie Trosclair of Gray; six grand-children and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Olema J. Darcey; her parents, Albert and Eva Darcey Roger; and six brothers, Simon, Alton, Raymond, Kirby, Albert and Lester Roger. She was a homemaker.

Mass was scheduled for 11a.m. today at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Roland and James Gaubert; one daughter, Lilly Mae Cancienne; three brothers, Earl, L.J. and Milton Roger; four sisters, Ruby Richard, Florence Pitre, Eula Borne and Ouida Faucheux; 14 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Theogene Gaubert; her parents, Leo and Helene Clement Roger; one brother, Malvin Roger; one sister, Doris Bourgeois; and one great-granddaughter, Sunnie Elizabeth Picou

Visitation will be at 6 to 10 p.m. Sunday and 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. [Buried 2 Sept. 1996]. He was the husband of Gladys Bourgeois Roger; father of Carroll J. and Ray C. Roger; sister [sic] (should be "brother") of Vivian Guillot; and grandfather of three. He was preceded in death by his first wife Eunice Naquin Roger; parents Omer Wallace Roger and Lucinda Mire; and brother Eugene Roger. Landry's Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Eve LeBouef Roger, 70, a native of Valentine and a resident of Lockport, died at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Falgout Funeral Home in Lockport. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Savior Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her two sons, Thomas Roger and Rober Roger; five daughters, Cheryl Guidry, Elaine Loupe, Charlene Rodriguez, Shirley Davaine and Brenda Orgeron; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, Justilien and Agnes Plaisance LeBouef; three sons, Jimmy Roger, Gerald Roger and Andrew Roger; and three brothers, Julien LeBouef, Etienne LeBouef and Orville LeBouef. She was a parishioner of Holy Savior and a member of St. Anthony Ladies Altar Society.

Sadie B. Roger, 97, a native and resident of Thibodaux, died Oct. 16, 2002. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. John Catholic Church in Thibodaux. She was preceded in death by her husband Jean Baptiste Roger; parents, Wallace and Angelia Thibodaux Benoit; sons, Rivers, Harris, Nolan, Norris and Wilbert Roger; sisters, Mabel Kern, Lottie Benoit, Nola Belteau and Nobie Guillot; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren

Gladys Pitre Roger, 91, a native of Gros Tete and resident of Raceland, died at 4:40 p.m. July 27, 2003. She is survived by her sons, Harold and Carol Roger; daughters, Laura Mae Leonard, Loretta Adams, Barbara Monaghan and Judy Bourg; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Roger Sr.; parents, Octave and Eve Orgeron Pitre; sons, Roland, Sidney Jr. and Peter Roger; brothers, Hurley and Irvy Pitre; and sister, Gertie Mayo.
She was an active member of the Raceland Senior Citizens, a retired cook for Lafourche Parish School Board and a member of the St. Hilary Council of Catholic Women. Falgout Funeral Home of Raceland is in charge of arrangements.

CLAIMED BY DEATH ON HIS LAFOURCHE SUGAR PLANTATION

Ernest Roger, one of the most prominent sugar planters in Lafourche parish, passed away at his home, Greenwood Plantation, at 3 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Mr. Roger who was in his eighty-third year, is survived by a widow, Mrs. Ezilda Thosclair Roger, and six children, Thomas H., L. C., Ernest, Jr., and Miss Louise Roger, all of Greenwood Plantation; Mrs. Earle Knobloch of New York and Mrs. E. A. Rainold of New Orleans. Mr. Roger was known all over the parish for his quiet charity and kindliness. The interment will take place Friday at 4:30 at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Thibodaux.

Visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home will be held today from 9 am until 10 pm, resuming tomorrow at 8 am. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, Feb 20 at 10 am from the funeral home, with religious services following at St Francis de Sales Cathedral. Interment will take place in Terrebonne Memorial Park. She was the wife of Abel Savoie. She is also survived by sons, Irvin and Carroll Savoie of Houma and Weldon Savoie Sr of Bourg; daughter, Mrs Gilbert (Joyce) Talbot Sr of Montegut; brother, Tillman Roger of Raceland; sisters Mrs Marie Danos of Cut Off, Mrs Vennie Leblanc of Larose and Mrs Edna Hebert of Westwego; 17 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. LOUIS MARCELUS ROGER

Louis M. Roger, (Special to the Picayune.) Arnaudville, La., Nov. 22 -- 
Louis M. Roger, a successful merchant and planter, passed away at his residence here this morning, and will be interred in the family cemetery at Washington, La., to-morrow afternoon at 2 o'clock. Deceased was  a prominent Mason, being a member of Lafayette Lodge No. 145, F. and A.M.; Girard Hope R. A. Chapter No. 33, New Iberia, La., James Ray Council, of Opelousas, La., and Commandery of Alexandria, La. Funeral rites will be conducted by the above orders. Thus one more of the few remaining veterans of Captain Charles Tertou's company of St. Martin's Parish has answered the long roll. Entering the army at the age of 17 in Captain Tertou's company, under Major Queyronze, Orleans Guards, which after the decimation at Shiloh, was consolidated with Captain Trepagnier's company, Thirtieth Louisiana, he gave four years of active service and returned home at the close of the war, a veteran of 21. Mr. Roger leaves behind a wife and one son to mourn his loss, besides a host of friends and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband Edmond Emile Naquin; parents, Amedeo and Laura Mire Roger; infant sons, Edmond, Harold and Harry Naquin; and sister, Elsie R. Tullier.
