Table notes

a. This entry identifies the family of Joseph Roger, Jr., son of Joseph "Caissy dit" Roger, Sr. and Anastasie Dugas, and Marie Magdeline Babin, daughter of Joseph Babin and Marie Landry. This shows seven of the eight known children: Marie-Josephe Roger (1798), Joseph Roger (1799),  Francois Roger (c. 1803), Henrietta Roger (1803), Auguste Roger (1805), Jean Baptiste Roger (1807), and Euphrosine Roger (1809). Missing and presumed dead by 1810 is Louis Roger (1801) as there are no records of any kind for him or any descendants.

b This entry identifies the family of Francois Roger and Marguerite Leblanc. Francois was the son of Joseph Roger, Sr. and Anastasie Dugas (Ref # 3). The entry shows the five children born up to that point: Francois Hypolite Roger (1804), Marie Euphrosine Roger (c. 1805), Louis Olezime Roger (1806), Marguerite Roger (1808) and Francois Roger (1810).

c. Listed as "a girl, 10 years old"

d. This entry shows the household of Joseph "Caissy dit" Roger and Anastasie Dugas. Anastasie lived until August 1811 and Joseph lived until June 1818.

e. This entry show the household of Marie Victoire (Victoria) Prejean Roger, widow of Jean "Caissy dit" Roger. The son listed is Alexis Roger (c.1798). The daughter is most likely Marie Clemence Roger (1795).

f. Probably a transcription error, this should be (Marie) Victoire Prejean, widow of Jean Roger and should be under the female column for the same age. Jean "Caissy dit" Roger died in 1807.

g. Listed as "a girl, 10 years old"

h. This is the household of Auguste (Augustin) Roger and Marie Hebert who were married on October 13, 1808. Auguste was the son of Jean Roger and Marie Victoire Prejean. Apparently missing is son Auguste Valery Roger who was born on Sept 18,1809.

i. Listed as " a boy, 14 years old"

j. This entry is for Jean Baptiste Roger, son of Jean Roger and Marie Victoire Prejean, and Marie Emile Boudreaux, daughter of Etienne Boudreaux and Marguerite Thibodaux, who were married on May 6, 1805 in Plattenville, LA. Missing are two children, presumed dead at this point: Jean Celestin Roger (1806) and Marie Victoire Roger (1808).
